This is the portion of clearomizer hardware that heats the e-liquid into a vapour. This part is potentially the most critical part for an e-cigarette and can be the main culprit if you are experiencing poor vapour production or are experiencing a burnt taste when vaping.
The battery is the device that powers the e-cigarette. Electronic cigarette batteries come in different capacities and sizes. A pass-through battery can connect to your computer via USB and will allow you to use it whilst still on charge.
Please treat batteries with care and caution as they are sensitive to charging characteristics and have been known to explode or burn if mishandled.
When charging batteries always place them on a fire-proof surface.
Never leave batteries unattended whilst on charge.
Never over-charge batteries.
If your battery gets hot to touch, or if you detect a burning smell stop using the battery immediately and place somewhere safe to cool down.
If you notice that the device is activating its self then immediately disconnect the battery from the atomizer and DO NOT reconnect the battery or place it in your pocket from this point on.

A cartomizer is a device consisting of an atomizer and cartridge (all in one) that connects directly to the battery of your e-cigarette. A cartomizer stores the e-liquid in an absorbent filler material and contains a heating element that serves to vapourise the liquid. Cartomizers can drain batteries faster than a clearomizer depending on the resistance and you can’t see the amount of e-liquid you are using (unless you get a clear one) so always keep the filter moist with e-liquid and have a back up battery on hand. A cartomizer can generally last anywhere from 3-14 days with proper care and maintenance.
A cartomizer tank system uses a cartomizer and tank which supplies e-liquid to the atomizer. Generally a tank can hold a larger amount of e-liquid.
A clearomizer is a tank system that utilises a coil which is replaceable by the user. A clearomizer fits onto the battery of your e-cigarette. It contains wicks and a heating element (coil) that serves to vapourise the e-liquid. The wicks draw e-liquid from the tank to the atomizer which then vapourise the e-liquid into a mist. A clearomizer with replaceable coils can last a very long time with proper care and maintenance. You will however be required to replace the coil.
Do it yourself. This refers to people that prefer to make their own e-liquid.

Drip tips come in many styles, colours and materials and are used to replace the mouthpiece of a clearomizer or atomizer for a more comfortable experience.
Dripping is the act of manually dripping e-liquid directly onto the heating element. People generally describe dripping or drippers to offer the best possible flavour and vapour production.
An electronic cigarette is a device used to vapourise e-liquid and creates the sensation of smoking a cigarette. A typical e-cigarette is generally made up of three important parts. A battery, a clearomizer and e-liquid.
The liquid used to refill your e-cigarette or clearomizer that contains PG and or VG, distilled water and food grade flavouring.
A high resistance atomizer that will produce less heat due to the “high” resistance of the coil inside atomizer (from increased Voltage application). Here, the Ohm rating would be higher (versus standard or low resistance)- approximately a 2.7 Ohms.
A low resistance atomizer that will produce heat very quickly (versus standard and high resistance) as a result of having a lower Ohm rating (approximately 1.5 Ohms)
mAh (Milliamp per Hour): units of measure expressed in batteries. mAh is the rating to express the available current at the rate for one hour therefore, the larger the battery mAh number, the more power it holds.
A vaping device that does not have any electronics; essentially a mod without wires.
Mods are advanced personal vaporizers that come in all shapes and sizes and offer users a wide choice in power output, better performance and replaceable batteries. There are two basic types of mod devices: mechanical mods and advanced personal vaporizers.

A personal vaporizer is another name for an electronic cigarette and generally preferred by the vaping community.
PG (Propylene Glycol)
The base ingredient in most e-liquid recipes that produces vapor. PG or Propylene Glycol is usually a faintly sweet, odorless, and colorless clear viscous liquid that is hygroscopic and miscible with water and acetone. Propylene glycol is recognised as generally safe by the Food and Drug Administration. It is used in food colouring, and flavouring, as an additive to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist, and in smoke machines. Propylene glycol functions to provide the vapour mist that looks like smoke and to suspend flavour.
Rebuildable Atomizer (RBA)
A rebuildable atomizer allows you to replace or repair the wick and coil system. These devices are generally thought of as more advanced. They require you to manually wrap a wick with resistance wire to create a coil.
Most clearomizers these days allow you to replace the coil. A coil can usually last anywhere from 3-14 days depending on use, after which you will need to replace it to continue getting the best experience.
When to replace your coil:
– If your clearomizer is leaking.
– If you can hear gurgling noises when drawing from the clearomizer.
– Poor vapour production or no vapour at all.
All coils/atomizers have a resistance rating in Ohms (Ω). 1.8Ω for example, refers to the resistance of the heating coil. The lower the resistance, the hotter the heating element will get, in turn this can produce more vapour and alter the flavour of the e-liquid.
Resistance wire is what a heating coil is made of. There are generally a few types used: Kanthal, Nichrome and Silver.
Refers to a atomizer’s resistance, measured in Ohms, at about 3.0 Ohms
A starter kit provides you with everything you require to start using an electronic cigarette. A starter kit generally includes a battery, a clearomizer, and a charger. A starter kit is usually the best option for a beginner.
A process used to mature and maximize flavour profile of e-liquid. Some people allow their e-liquid to steep before use. It can help an e-liquid to mature and become more flavoursome. Opinions will vary on steep times. If you don’t like the flavour of your e-liquid when you first get it, put it away somewhere safe and come back to it at a later stage.
Sub-Ohm vaping refers to vaping with a resistance level of less than 1Ω. This causes more vapour to be produced with each puff, which is what leads to huge clouds.
This is what you feel when inhaling e-liquid through an electronic cigarette. This experience will differ with every e-liquid and electronic cigarette.
This is the term used to describe when people are using an e-cigarette or personal vaporizer.
Vapour production is the amount of vapour you exhale after using an e-cigarette. There are many factors that play a role in producing large amounts of vapour production.
The PG / VG ratio.
The type of Atomizer, Clearomizer or Cartomizer that you are using.
The type of device can also play a roll in how much vapour you produce.
The voltage you’re vaping at also plays a big roll in vapor production.
These are some of the factors that can decide how much vapour you will produce from your electronic cigarette.
A device that allows you to adjust the voltage in small increments. The settings may vary between devices but generally the settings are from 3V to 6V. E-cigarette batteries that use variable voltage operate just like a standard electronic cigarette battery would. The only difference is that the battery has a circuit for storing and regulating power from the battery, giving users the ability to adjust the heat of the atomizer/tank for optimal vape quality. Adjusting the voltage up or down can maximize the flavour intensity, throat hit and vapour production of your device.
If you have never used an e-cigarette before, a variable voltage / wattage device may not be right for you.
Variable wattage allows you to set the power output of your device from 3 watts to 15 watts. Once your preferred power output is set, the microprocessor will maintain that power output regardless of the resistance or ohm of your clearomizer/atomizer. That way, your preferred vape taste will remain the same whether you attach a 1.8Ω clearomizer or a 2.4Ω clearomizer.
VG (Vegetable Glycerine)
Vegetable glycerin, or vegetable glycerol, is a plant-based carbohydrate used as a base in e-liquid, moisturiser or carrier in common food and health products such as cake mix, toothpaste, and gel capsules. When used in e-liquid, vegetable glycerin produces vapour that mimics the appearance of smoke as it is exhaled. Vegetable glycerin is sometimes preferred over propylene glycol because of its increased vapour production. Vegetable glycerin is thicker than propylene glycol, which may reduce the life of the atomizer when used at full strength. Combining propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin in mixtures of at least 80 percent PG and 20 percent VG may eliminate extra wear and tear on the atomizer without compromising the quality of vapour.
The safety of vegetable glycerin is virtually undisputed. According to studies in the United States and Canada, VG is hypo-allergenic and non-carcinogenic. VG has low potential to irritate eyes or other mucus membranes and is not known to cause skin reactions. When skin irritation does occur, it is usually due to skin coming into contact with high concentrations of vegetable glycerin not used in E-liquid products. VG is metabolised easily by the body and produces very low toxicity when inhaled or ingested.
A wick is a piece of absorbent material found in coils, clearomizers and cartomizers and is designed to direct e-liquid to the heating element.
